You guys are so sweet :) Thanks for the positive and warm comments after my meltdown pouting session. It's just uber frustrating especially when I had a friend text me later that night saying her school has been hiring outsiders blah. I know the main reason is that I'm not fully bilingual in Spanish.
Ok, moving on... I got brave and made quick video clip. In it I talk about my little obsession this summer and ask you guys all a question that I would love you to answer/give feedback on. Thanks!

1st let me tell you I feel your pain on the subject of not being spanish bilingual! 2nd I love the idea of your friday vlogging; you have such great ideas and plans for subs that your Q&A session of vlogging would be a great asset to those of us starting our subbing careers! Thank you for all your blogs.
ReplyDeleteOh I share your pain too my friend! I've been at it for 6 years and keep hearing back that they are hiring new teachers fresh out of school. It's very frustrating and I've noticed a ton of preferential treatment. Just when I started to have those connections, Ontario has implemented new regulations to avoid preferential treatment! Story of my life. :/

I like the idea of vlogging :) Tips for substitutes or ideas you see in the classrooms you visit may be interesting. Oh, and I LOVE your book collection - I have one that is very similar!
ReplyDeleteAwe, hang in there! Isn't it just lovely that schools that you spend so much time with are hiring "outsiders." Ugh. Been there, done that. Like Mrs. Mathis, I've been hearing that schools are now hiring new teachers right out of school :(
I totally got hooked on vlogging a while back...haven't been as into it lately, but I think you should do a vlogging friday...cute idea. I love hearing people's accents {as you know...hee hee} and just because I'm nosy I like seeing what they have going on in the "background"...ha ha.

As for what you should vlog about? Hmmm...good question! I think it should just grow as the weeks go by...whatever seems relevant to you at the time!
