Money Cubes

A few weeks ago I subbed for a teacher who had me put together some math stuff during prep.

Her main thing she had me put together were these money cubes:

This is so visual for the kiddos!  

1 cube= a penny

5 cubes = a nickel

10 cubes= a dime

25 cubes= a quarter.

I taped real coins onto the cubes. And she was specific that I make the whole set one color, another visual thing for the kiddos.

Another teacher happened to be in the classroom to ask me a question and wrote down this idea because she thought it was so good!
