Saturday Fun, Sunday Time Loss, and a Winner.

I was a busy girl yesterday, which is why the only post I did was for Teachers Taking Care of Teachers. I got up  early to go help at my friend's work. Once a month she has a group for kiddos to come and build and I go help with signing in and also help the kiddos build if there aren't enough people. This month was flower boxes. And they turned out so cute. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to snap pics because there were only 3 of us and of 1 person was usually off cutting more wood because the measurements were wrong (high schoolers had cut them lol).

The kids had fun and that's what counts! Then I rushed home, grabbed a bite to eat, and my friend Kelly came to pick me up (Kelly is the one whose work I was just at) and we drove about 45 minutes to a scrapbook show. Now, I've never been to one and didn't know what to expect. But wow! Booth after booth of paper, stamps, ribbon, flowers, and anything else you could ever need to make scrapbook pages and cards! And lots of women!

We didn't go to any classes, we were there to shop! Most booths said no pictures allowed, but I snuck a quick one!

One aisle of four or five.

I have so many ideas now. And Kelly and I were there to make sure we didn't buy out the place. We both did pretty good and even found stuff for the auction this fall. We shopped for 2 and 1/2 hours! Then we were off to Costco to get stuff for her work. But we went to Washington after this (we were only about 10 minutes away at this point). Oh and did I mention we were in her work van this whole time? Lol.

We were starving at this time, but didn't want to ruin dinner's appetite, so we munched on apple slices. Then went to a hardware store (more business stuff) and I had to snap pics of some interesting displays.
Purple guy

I dubbed him Clark! Someone gave him a hat and a 'stache!

And then, well, we were supposed to be heading straight to the restaurant after that, but we had to hit up Craftwarehouse. Then we left, perhaps got lost decided to take the scenic route, had lots of good chat time and laughter. And made it to dinner. Where we were the last ones (only 5 minutes late) but sad, since we were in the same city before everyone else lol.

Dinner was awesome! We ate at Joe's Crab Shack. I ordered a bucket of Dungeoness Crab and it was yummy. Everyone else at the table got steampots of crab but theirs also comes with shrimp which I'm not a fan of. So that's why I got the bucket.

Our aftermath at one end of the table. There were 9 of us.

Kelly's hubby...we all were wearing those bibs!

  2. Your Saturday sounds awesome.
I have yet to get off the couch.

Anyway, I can't imagine how damaging the scrapbooking thing must have been - you probably could've dropped a bazillion dollars there and barely made a dent in their stuff! How fun!
