And another reason I'm glad I'm back is to catch up on my blogs. Seriously you guys, I had over 650 blog posts on my Google Reader last night and managed to get it down to 300. Next time I go on vacation I'll let you all know so you won't blog so much and leave me a ton to catch up on lol, just kidding :)
Now comes the joy of laundry and unpacking *sigh* So while I get to do that, I'll share some photos and memories of my glorious trip to O'ahu.
The house I stayed in was an old 30's plantation house and had been added on to. Old, but clean and quiet. There was even an outdoor shower surrounded by banana trees! Every day back from the beach, that's where I rinsed off my feet. There was also a mango tree, palm trees, plumeria, hibiscus, and other beautiful vegetation.
And a swing set!
And I was 2 blocks away from this glorious beach, Lanikai Beach. White sand and blue water. Went there everyday. I even snorkeled out there and saw tropical fish! And two days I saw a sea turtle.
I also went to Pearl Harbor. And met a survivor!
I went to the Dole Pineapple Plantation. And I swam with dolphins. It was amazing! I got to kiss, cradle, dorsal fin ride, and get a foot push by two dolphins. Actually, one is a wholphin, the only one in the world. Part whale and dolphin.
I swam with them in that pool!
That's me with a dorsal fin ride! And my mom smiling in the pool too :)
And now I'm going to share a very funny picture. I can't believe I'm sharing it, but hey we share all sorts of things here anyway...but this is me getting pushed by my feet by the dolphin and wholphin.
Look at that look on my face lol. Oh it was so fun!
I also went to the Polynesian Cultural Center. I recommend that to anyone! I got to eat breafruit, taro, and poi. I got to learn about all the Polynesian cultures, see their dances (and dance too), hear their music(and we got to make music too), and see other demonstrations. It was amazing!
Tahiti
Oh and they also had a schoolhouse at the PCC, so of course I went in and took a picture.
I had soooo much fun and took so many pics of the vegetation. Have a great week my friends! It's good to be back :)
I hate the frizzy hair! Silly humidity :)
